Everybody Knows This is Nowhere: Chapter 2
Following the residents of the Gazela Roma communities as they settle in new locations around Serbia. Includes official resettlement camps of container homes in outskirts of Belgrade, a growing slum less than a kilometer from the original settlement and some families who are starting a new life in cities near Belgrade.
The forced relocations of Serbian Roma have entered the international debate, between instances of foreign investment in Belgrade requiring certain levels of treatment of minorities and a recent Amnesty International report which condemns the treatment of the Belgrade Roma under these resettlement regimes.
